Praça do Município
Here you will find the City Hall which is located in a Pombalino building with a rectangular plan, simple volume and horizontal layout. It has three floors with a hipped roof and symmetrical facades. It was opened in 1764 as a wool factory, and the City Council currently operates here.

Library
The Fundão Municipal Library is a tribute to the poet Eugénio de Andrade, born on January 19, 1923 in Póvoa de Atalaia, in the municipality of Fundão

Rua da Cale
Rua da Cale is one of the oldest, most historic and important streets in the city of Fundão. The pride in the street is immense and there is still a positive parochialism that has endured over time and is still noticeable today. This is a street where tradition is now being combined with modernity, with unique traditions still being maintained today.

Historical Villages
Monsanto does not run out. Beyond the roughness of the stone there is a life of its own that can be observed. A memory of a long time that persists in your daily life.
In the middle of Serra da Gardunha, the Historic Village of Castelo Novo stands in shades of green and gray. Built on granite, Castelo Novo preserves a unique architectural heritage over time.

Xisto villages
In Barroca, a rural atmosphere continues to breathe, guided by its agricultural cycles. The surrounding landscape is framed by the pine forest and the pyramids of the Lavaria do Cabeço do Pião heaps, which once belonged to the Minas da Panasqueira.
In Janeiro de Cima, it was on boats that people and commerce on both banks were formerly brought together and today it is still possible to do so on a walk up the river and, through the winding streets, the houses lean against each other with their facades in schist.

Covilhã Historic Area
The city of Covilhã is located on the southeastern slope of Serra da Estrela and is one of the most important urban centers in the central region. The historic center is characterized by its narrow and full of life, in recent years, decorated by large murals painted with references to the city's history and experiences.

Serra da Gardunha
In Gardunha, granite and schist are present. Water is another constant. The landscape and biological diversity that this mountain range preserves is closely linked to the geomorphology and petrology of the area: the bands of the Beiras schist complex have conditioned the species and the use of the land by man, establishing a perfect harmony.

Serra da Estrela
With a maximum altitude of 1993 meters in the Tower, Serra da Estrela is an area of rare scenic beauty with impressive differences in level where we can intensely experience the silence of the heights. And take advantage of these moments of communion with nature to observe it, noticing the variety of vegetation, the birds or the flocks of sheep led by dogs of the breed to which the Mountain gave its name.
